STATEMENT

It has been decided that the Thames Up River Rowing Region as you know it, is to be sub-divided into 3 separate teams. These will be known as Thames Upriver 1, 2 & 3.

TU1 = Thames Upriver West

TU2 = Thames Upriver Central

TU3 = Thames Upriver East

TEAM MANAGEMENT & SELECTION TRIALS 2026

For 2026, the selection trailing system for TU1 2 & 3 will remain as recent years, and is on FRIDAY 6th MARCH 2026 at DORNEY LAKE, and will run as part of normal usage training day at Dorney lake which requires all participants to book in with the Lake using their online booking system - more details in the flyer and information to come. The trials for each team will be at the same time, but then 3 separate teams will be formed based on the trials results.

Team management will remain as previous years with Mark Wilkinson & Jonathan Keir responsible for the selection of TU1, 2 & 3. For the finals in April, an additional 'go-to' person will be brought into the management for each individual team.

Entries for the trials will open on 1st February 2026. Look out for more details

TEAM KIT

The Team kit for 2026 will be developed for each individual team. There will be a competition for designs, so please look out for this.

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF INDIVIDUAL CLUBS TO DO THIS BOOKING - THE TRIAL IS DURING A GENERAL ROWING SESSION
